We are looking for an experienced Structural Concrete Worker to perform and help coordinate the construction of reinforced concrete columns on active construction projects. This is a hands-on field position for someone who understands structural concrete, formwork, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, and daily field production. Responsibilities * Build, set, brace, and strip forms for structural concrete columns. * Measure and lay out column forms according to plans and field dimensions. * Assist with assembling, setting, and tying reinforcing steel and rebar cages. * Install form hardware, ties, braces, embeds, and other components required for column construction. * Check forms for proper dimensions, alignment, plumb, and elevation before concrete placement. * Work from the ground, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial lifts as required. * Assist with placing concrete into column forms. * Properly consolidate concrete using concrete vibrators to minimize voids and honeycombing. * Monitor forms during concrete placement for movement, leaks, or other problems. * Strip column forms safely after concrete has reached the required strength. * Patch, rub, grind, and perform minor repairs to finished concrete as needed. * Coordinate with foremen and other crew members to keep column work moving safely and efficiently. * Compile and submit daily production and labor reports, including work completed, crew size, labor hours, and any issues or delays affecting production. * Track daily progress and communicate material, equipment, manpower, or field issues that could impact upcoming work. * Use hand and power tools safely and properly. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Follow all company and project safety requirements, including fall-protection procedures. Qualifications * Minimum 2 years of structural concrete, formwork, or similar construction experience preferred. * Experience building concrete columns, walls, piers, or other vertical structural concrete strongly preferred. * Ability to read construction plans, a tape measure, and perform basic construction layout. * Familiarity with concrete forms, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, and concrete vibrators. * Ability to accurately document daily labor and production. * Comfortable working at heights and from aerial lifts. * Ability to safely use common construction hand and power tools. * Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work for a full shift. * Must be dependable, show up on time, and work effectively as part of a concrete crew. * OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. What We’re Looking For We need a structural concrete worker—not just a general laborer. The right person understands how a structural concrete column is built from start to finish: setting and bracing forms, working around reinforcing steel, checking plumb and alignment, placing and vibrating concrete, stripping forms, and completing final repairs and cleanup. Just as important, this person needs to be dependable and organized enough to document what happens in the field every day. We need accurate information on production, manpower, labor hours, delays, and problems so the team knows exactly where the work stands. Workers with strong column formwork and vertical concrete experience will be given preference.
